The IOM Veteran Athletes Club20 Mile Road Race, sponsored by Acclaim Limited took place on Sunday morning on the NSC Perimeter Road.

With perfect weather conditions for early March, the event attracted 35 runners who were either putting the final touches to their marathon training plans or simply testing themselves over 40 laps.

In the Men’s category, Nzama Nhlanhla won with a time of 01:56:46 followed closely in second by Paul Atherton who finished in 01:57:08. Sean McEntee came third in 01:57:44.

Sarah Webster took first place in the Ladies category with a time of 02:09:43. Dawn Atherton came second in 02:21:10 with Aimee Knox finishing third in 02:40:33.
